I'd love to have a Wolfgang Hampel CD and DVD with his very funny poems and stories. What about a book? Jens, it doesn't amaze me at all. As you wrote Alison Bard Burnett and Wolfgang Hampel are born humorists. I heard many more Alison Bard Burnett interviews by Wolfgang Hampel will be published in the future. Come on, please. Do it! This couple is so funny. I can listen to them a million times without getting tired. Pure Bard and Hampel magic.

By the way I don't like poems so much but Wolfgang Hampel's satirical poems are as witty and charming as his Betty MacDonald and Ma and Pa Kettle biography and Betty MacDonald Interviews. Wolfgang Hampel's very funny stories about everyday life make us laugh aloud.

I have a surprise. My parents visited the Northwest in the sixties. Both are huge Betty MacDonald Fans and they went to Vashon of course and they met ........
Mary Bard Jensen, Clyde Reynolds Jensen, Cleve Bard and Mary Alice Bard. We have many photos of the family and my father filmed them with his camera. So you can see and hear the Bard family. I'm going to present this at the next Betty MacDonald Fan Club Meeting.

Wolfgang Hampel's new Betty MacDonald documentary of Betty MacDonald's life in Boulder, Butte, Seattle, Laurelhurst, Chimacum, Vashon Island, Carmel and Carmel Valley is really fascinating. My personal favourites are scenes of Betty's and Don's life in Carmel and Carmel Valley.

I adore Darsie Beck's interview. Darsie Beck has an excellent memory as his famous and beloved mother, humorist Alison Bard Burnett. Both are wonderful story tellers.

Wolfgang Hampel's Betty MacDonald biography include very important details and facts of her life and work. I admire Betty MacDonald's books The Egg and I, The Plague and I, Anybody can do anything, Onions in the Stew, but also Nancy and Plum and the Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle stories. Which is my favourite book? It's impossible to answer this question.
I love all of them.
Therefore I enjoy Betty MacDonald biography very much. It's an excellent opportunity to learn so much more of Betty MacDonald's life in Carmel and Carmel Valley. I'd love to go there to see all this and perhaps to meet wonderful Doris Day. Did Betty MacDonald and Doris Day know each other?

I admire Wolfgang Hampel's brilliant stories and poems. I can't wait to read new ones in Betty MacDonald Fan Club Newsletter. A Wolfgang Hampel CD and DVD should be available soon. Betty MacDonald would love Wolfgang Hampel's poems and stories as much as we do.

Betty MacDonald's husband Donald Chauncey MacDonald was born Sept. 2, 1910, in Council Bluffs, Iowa 100 years ago. He died in 1975 at the age of only 65 in Monterey.

I'm working on a story about Donald Chauncey MacDonald with many facts, information and photos for Betty MacDonald Newsletter.

In Wolfgang Hampel's wonderful Betty MacDonald interviews Betty MacDonald's beloved sister Alison Bard Burnett and many other relatives and friends tell the most interesting memories of Donald Chauncey MacDonald. I hope these interviews will be published soon.
